Scambusters, Preventing Internet Scams & Phishing Attempts

This blog is dedicated to help preventing internet fraud and internet scams. Scambusters was a radio show I started in Albany Oregon, but due to defaulted payment by the radio station we took the show offline. Regardless of this issue we still wish to help prevent internet fraud and save people from internet loss. I have been interviewed and featured in various publications such as the Wall Street Journal, New York Times & Daily News, The London Times & AARP Newsletters. Please watch this blog for latest tips and tricks and scams to avoid.

Just received this today. SMH

I received the identical email. If you go to track now it asks for your email address and password, and that site is militarylove.com. Sounds like phishing.

How do you report this kind of thing to try and get it stopped. Just not cool. Whoever sends this stuff needs to get a job or find something else to do. Thanks.

Hey! We must have ordered the very same item...with the same tracking number! What are the chances? The chances of me hitting the TRACK NOW link are nil. Thanks to you who have taken the time to help me confirm this phish story. It smelled phishy, but it's great to have others confirm my suspicions.

Surf safe!

I received a notice exactly like this today, except the pickup was coming from the IRS. New bait for their phishing.

Same here. Got one too. Very annoying. Suspected scam and threw it in the bin together with the other emails offering thousand and millions of free money. Gah!
